Things are moving forward: new place, jobs are settling down, so is the new puppy. I am finding less time for creative pursuits, but more inclination towards them, and when I get my ducks in a row, I fully expect this next phase to be one of focus and drive for me. I feel the immanence of an actual metamorphosis coming on.
One sign of this was how upon finding a place, I posted to FB how I would need help moving and cleaning and was very pleasantly suprised by who came out of the woodwork to volunteer. I let my bosses know what I'd be doing as far as packing and moving went and they were 100% on board with me taking the time I need.
I slept well last night: the stress of looking finally eased, and now just the stress of the upcoming week's work, and the move itself remains. Today I will blitz Kyriel's room, dress nice and go pay the deposit (kindly loaned by my very good friends Arkay and Kimiko (If I get any of my damage deposit back from this place, I will pay off the damned couch!) Then drop off the receipt and papers at the social assistance office, and come home to throw down some more work on the house: bag up the stinky laundry, and fold and put away the clean clothes.
First load out will be laundry and pictures off the walls, then craft supplies and papers, then clean clothes/linens. Save the dishes and kitchen for Thursday/Friday, furniture for Saturday, which gives me all of Sunday, Monday and Tuesday to get the old house CLEAN.
It's a good plan.
October 12 is the next Mounted Practice, with a visual riding clinic beforehand, and games and drill from noon till 4. Baldur will not be up to participating in this one, I don't think, but we will see.
Just everything feels like it is finally coming together.
One reason I am feeling more whole is that I finally have my middle kiddle with me again. Yes he's 18, and yes he's looking for work, but... he's here, and I can maybe undo some of the damage from his father's "care" of him.He chose me, is what it comes down to: he chose me and his brother to be his support and his family. That just warms me beyond any measure.
More soon, I think: gotta get on with the work. :)
